My therapy specialties

Sometimes what brings you to therapy is a mind that won’t slow down, a life that no longer fits, or a body that still feels on high alert. Therapy can help you listen more closely to what’s happening beneath the surface and find a different way forward.

Anxiety & burnout

Anxiety isn’t always obvious—it can show up as overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or simply feeling like you can’t turn yourself off.

Identity &
life transitions

When the life you’ve built begins to change, you may find yourself questioning what you want and who you’re becoming.

Trauma &
the body

Trauma doesn’t only live in memory—it can continue to shape how you feel, respond, and relate.

About Sean O’Toole, LMSW

I believe therapy can be a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and find more choice and freedom in how you live.

I work with thoughtful adults navigating anxiety and burnout, major life changes, and the effects of trauma on the body. These concerns are often more connected than they first appear, and I’m interested in what happens beneath the surface: the patterns we’ve learned, the expectations we carry, and what our bodies may be telling us.

My approach is primarily psychodynamic and somatic. I bring curiosity, warmth, and a willingness to look closely at what’s happening, while making room for humor, complexity, and the parts of you that don’t always fit neatly into a story.
